Visited Slatington yesterday to pickup our first sales check.  Not bad.  For sure it more than covered the rent. See what happens in December.

Stopped in yesterday to add a few items.  It looks like we had a number of sales.

We've had a number of sales since our last visit.  Two big items, the Sunbeam sign and the dentist chair.  So far, sales are looking good.

We have rented space in the Slatington Market Place.  In Slatington Pa.  I'm familiar with the place because it's right next to the Slatington airport.  Many years ago we stop in the antique center and it wasn't to nice.  But new owners took over last year and made many improvements.

Had a few more sales on Saturday.  Overall the show was slow, the usual September crowd never showed up.

A slow day, the customers just weren't there.  We had about 1/2 dozen sales.  All the dealers we talked to had few sales.  See what happens today.

Kutztown Extravaganza September 2016 setup

Kutztown Extravaganza coming up this week.

The show is coming up this week, Sept. 21-24. As always, setup is Wednesday and the show opens Thursday at 10 am.  We'll start to pack the trailer tomorrow and finish up on Tuesday, and leave Wednesday morning.  Picked up a interesting table in Ithaca, NY last week.  It's used in making pies, with a mixture of tiles and drawers.
This year we moved up a couple of booths, more closer to the other antique dealers that sell similar items.  I'll post photos Thursday morning.

2016 June Festival of Antiques show report

Overall a OK show.  It was 93 degrees, and that's never good.  For the most part, sales where off for just about everybody.
I think we will do the show again.  Next time we'll bring lights, they told us no electric.  But when we got to our booth, electric outlets everywhere.  Plus bring more industrial and less country items.
It's a year away, plenty of time to plan.

2016 June Festival of Antiques...Packing

Just finished loading the trailer.  Then a early start tomorrow(4:00am).  The weather forecast is hot(90), rain and thunderstorms.   The chances you take on a outdoor show.

Our next show will be the "June Festival of Antiques" in Mulica Hill, NJ.   It's a one day show on June 11, 2016. Setup starts at 7am and show begins at 10.   We did this show many years ago.

The momentum did not continue into Saturday, no sales.  Haven't added up the total sales yet, but this might be one of our best shows at Kutztown.

General speaking, Friday has been slow for us.  But yesterday we had about  1/2 dozen sales.  We will try to keep the momentum going for today.
